# Atatürk and War of Independence Museum
Located within the Anıtkabir complex, this museum brings together the most comprehensive and compelling testimonies of Turkey’s struggle for independence. The moment you step inside, you begin to experience history come alive.
In the museum, you’ll encounter everything from Atatürk’s personal belongings to objects gifted by foreign statesmen and items donated by his spiritual successors. Each display case tells the story of an era. Our momentous victories such as Çanakkale, Sakarya, and the Great Offensive are brought to life through panoramic scenes and oil paintings.
Organized in four sections, the exhibition presents the years 1919-1938 with explanations in Turkish and English. Selected works from Atatürk’s library of 3,123 books, documents on the construction of Anıtkabir, and period records constitute an archive in their own right.
