# Şehit Cuma Dağ Natural History Museum

Visiting this museum in the heart of Ankara is a journey of discovery, housing millions of years of Earth’s memory. The museum features massive dinosaur models constructed from authentic fossil skeletons that never fail to astonish visitors. From the age of dinosaurs through the fossils of mammoths, elephants, and giant rhinoceroses that once roamed Anatolia, to a 3,000-year-old footprint and an enormous whale fossil, these pieces represent the most captivating highlights of our collection.

The rocks section, showcasing colorful crystals and rare minerals, demonstrates the artistry that nature creates beneath the earth’s surface. Two of the museum’s special areas—the Energy Museum and an authentic mining site—take visitors deep into the history of mining. The energy museum across the way also adds variety to your visit.

Our education-focused exhibitions make learning enjoyable by bringing science and chemistry lessons to life through visual displays. We also have special accommodations for visitors with visual impairments. I recommend visiting the museum, which offers free admission, during weekdays; you’ll be able to explore the collections more thoroughly in a peaceful atmosphere.
