Borusan Contemporary: Art and History Intertwined
Located in the Yusuf Ziya Paşa Mansion, one of the most iconic structures in Rumeli Hisarı, Borusan Contemporary is a unique art space that opens to the public on weekends. I take pride in seeing this historic building, whose construction began in the early 1910s, brought back to life thanks to Borusan Holding’s vision for art and culture.
The most striking aspect of the venue is its thoughtful design: the building functions as an office during the week and transforms into an art gallery on weekends. We present high-quality rotating exhibitions featuring works by internationally renowned photographers such as Edward Burtynsky. Taking the elevator inside the building to the upper floors and completing the exhibition with a descent offers a breathtaking view of the Bosphorus that crowns the entire experience.
Our guided tours (at 1:00 PM) allow you to understand the depth of the exhibitions. I invite you to encounter art and history in a clean, airy atmosphere.
