# İBB Atatürk Museum
Located on Halaskargazi Avenue in Şişli, the İBB Atatürk Museum was established by converting the historic mansion where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk resided during the National Struggle period into a museum. This significant venue, where Atatürk lived with his mother, sister, and aide between December 1918 and May 1919, stands at the place where the War of Independence was planned and the future of our nation was shaped.
Following comprehensive restoration, the museum captivates visitors with its rich collection. Atatürk’s personal belongings, clothing, uniforms, handwritten documents, medals, and photographs are carefully displayed throughout every corner of the five-story building. The collection is further enriched by the possessions of his aide Cevat Abbas and watercolor paintings by Vittorio Pisani documenting the War of Independence.
This historic space, open for free access, is presented in a manner well-suited for school and family visits to foster a deeper understanding of our national identity.
