# Masumiyet Müzesi

When you step through the doors of Orhan Pamuk’s legendary novel “Museum of Innocence,” you embark on a unique journey where literature meets reality. In the historic three-story building in Çukurcuma, objects gathered through Kemal’s passion for Füsun are meticulously displayed in eighty-three showcases, corresponding to the eighty-three chapters of the novel.

The museum is not merely a space—it is the physical manifestation of the story, created by Pamuk simultaneously as he wrote the novel. From the dresses Füsun wore to the accessories she used, even down to the cigarette butts she left behind, each object tells the story of 1975 Istanbul and the everyday life of that era.

You can enter free of charge with the ticket from the last page of the book, and audio guides are available on-site. However, having read the novel beforehand makes a significant difference in understanding the depth of each showcase. With its evocation of nostalgia and longing for old Istanbul, this museum presents an intimate portrait of love and obsession.
